"How can you buy or sell the sky,
the warmth of the land?
The idea is strange to us.
If we do not own the freshness of the air
and the sparkle of the water,
how can you buy them?."
Based
on a version of the speech edited by Ted Perry in 1972.

About The Talkshop
The Talkshop is a consulting firm established by Dr.Mathai Baker
Fenn in 1996. Today the firm is a networked organization
offering services in Ethics, Understanding Corporate Culture and in the
area of Knowledge Management. To learn more about what we do, check out
our Offerings Page.
The Talkshop is a Networked Organization. A loosely
structured network of Knowledge Workers.Everyone is free to work
at their own pace. On projects that are of interest to them, apart from
the core offerings of The Talkshop. Apart from our core members, The
Talkshop also partners with other organizations and individuals in
order to achieve its objectives.
The Talkshop has twin objectives of Personal Growth and the Creation of Wealth (through work).
The mission statement of the TalkShop also emphasises
“Connectedness”. Unlike Descartes, who meditated on his
own, the TalkShop sees work as engagement and believes in asking
questions and seeking answers within the context of engagement. It aims
at an ideal of Karma Yoga, where work and personal/spiritual growth go
hand in hand, an ideal that C.G. Jung recognized in the practice of
Alchemy
