The TalkShop's Mission

 Our mission statement, written in 1996, states our position and continues to be a source of inspiration and direction for us.

Nurturing Relationships: The Talkshop's Mission Statement.

“All things are connected.” This is the message that we forget as we struggle through this life. We translate the experience of our own loneliness into the belief that we somehow can conduct business, make our choices and live our lives without touching other people’s lives. In the dog eats dog world of business, we may be forgiven in saying the primary rule is “survival of the fittest”. However, in today’s world of “networking”, this rule is an anachronism. The contemporary rule is “Survival of the fitting”. Conducting business is an increasingly complex exercise which consists of the networking between different people with different interests: the shareholder, the funding agencies, the vendor, the distributor, the franchisee, the customer, the employee, the governmental agencies, etc., etc.. In business, success depends on how well one can co-ordinate these resources.
